Silkroad: 3rd Festival of the Arts at Holy Cross

Hogan Center Outdoor Oval: The Festival of the Arts at Holy Cross is a day of arts immersion for high school students from Worcester Public Schools and area independent schools. The Festival introduces students to a range of artistic disciplines through hands-on workshops taught by Holy Cross faculty and visiting artists. Participating in a series of three sessions during the course of the morning, students join in a celebration and culminating performance for festival guests and campus community. Past workshops include Density Drawing, Portrait Photography, 2D to 3D: Hands on Sculpture, Improv 101, Basic Acting, Shakespeare Recitation, Jazz Dance, Balinese Dance, Choral Singing, Drumming, Cantor Gallery Tour, Performance and Q&A with Holy Cross Brooks Scholars.

CULMINATING PERFORMANCE:
Silkroad Ensemble: Lunchtime concert 12:30 pm; Hogan Oval (Rain location: Brooks Concert Hall) FREE | Open to the public
Join us for a short lunchtime performance by Silkroad artists and guests as part of the 3rd Festival of the Arts at Holy Cross, a day of arts immersion for high school students from Worcester Public Schools. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to Brooks Concert Hall and space will be limited.
