Presidential Transition

Vincent D. Rougeau will serve as the 33rd president of College of the Holy Cross, beginning July 1, 2021. His demonstrated leadership, commitment to the liberal arts, and his deep embrace of Jesuit, Catholic higher education distinguished him from a diverse and highly qualified pool of candidates after a thorough nationwide search. He will be introduced to the community in a livestream event on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Chair of the Board of Trustees Rick Patterson ’80 announced Rougeau’s appointment in a letter to the Holy Cross community.
Rougeau is currently Dean of Boston College Law School and Director of the Boston College Forum for Racial Justice in America. He has written extensively on Catholic social teaching and the law.
