Holy Cross requires that all employees complete specific training sessions offered by the college. All employees are to complete the following online training:
Holy Cross employees have access to anti-harassment training programs through Edu-Risk. Simply create a user account and take the on-line training. Please click here for information, instructions and a link to the Edu-Risk Anti-Harassment Training Platform.
All faculty and staff are required to take the full Premium course initially. After that, an annual refresher course will be available. Deadlines for completion are issued through human resources. Additionally, class room presentations may be offered as an alternative to training for departments with limited internet/computer access. Please contact Kate Kilby, extension 3568 for more information.
The College offers a data security awareness training course via HC's Sans application. To ensure that all employees understand the issues of security surrounding sensitive and protected data, all employees are required to complete the online course. Instructions to access the Moodle application appear below under "How to Begin the Course."
Group Training Available
For those who do not wish to, or are unable to complete the training on their own, we are offering group presentations of the training. The modules will be viewed as a group as well as the testing. This will serve as their completion of the required testing. If you prefer to complete the course in this setting, please plan to attend one of the group sessions offered:
How to Begin the Course:
The training is accessible through Sans, the online course management application. All Holy Cross employees are able to login to Sans using their network username and password. (If you are unable to log in, please contact the ITS helpdesk for assistance.)
The approximately 45-minute course is comprised of reading the "College IT Use Policy" and completing 14 modules. The program's modules have been updated since we originally released the program and contain new content. If you have any trouble with the steps below, please contact the ITS Help Desk.
