Job Description

We are looking for student staff to serve our guests with great customer skills who are dependable, motivated and possess good time management skills. 

Comprised of various food stations along the servery in the main dining hall, students directly assist staff to prepare and serve food to the community. While prior cooking experience is valued at this position, students will enjoy learning from experienced staff how to prepare food, while following safe food practices. Proper procedures for food handling and sanitation must be strictly adhered to. Students will have the opportunity to and should be flexible to the needs of the shift by working in the specific station that is assigned to them by the Executive Chef or Manager on Duty.

Classics Station: This position focuses on the replenishing of the main kitchen’s prepared food items while maintaining the cleanliness of the classics station.

Deli Station: With a modern, create your own sandwich set-up, student staff will assist in customizing orders for customers. This position will entail working with staff to make sandwiches and wraps for guests.

Grill Station: This position varies in responsibilities depending on the time of day. During morning shifts, students will cook eggs, pancakes. For evening shifts, students will be grilling burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs, as well as frying french fries. This experience will provide extensive cooking skills utilizing a grill and fryolator.

Pasta Station: Student workers will obtain on the job training to cook the pasta and serving instructions. This position focuses on the replenishing of food at the pasta station.

Stir-Fry Station: This position involves cooking both stir fried food and healthy, vegan and vegetarian meals. Depending on the time of day students will cook-to-order omelets or stir-fry creations personalized by the ingredients the customer has selected.
