Said Bounouara

Arabic FLA

Biography

Hello all, My name is Said Bounouara and I will be your new Arabic FLA. I’m 28 years old and currently studying for my PhD in the laboratory language, society, and culture at the University of Mohamed V Rabat, faculty of arts and humanities.

Rabat is the capital city of Morocco and is located on the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg. Rabat is a historic city as many others cities in Morocco and I’m excited to give you more information about it, Morocco, and the Arabic world in general.

During my studies and my work as an Arabic teacher as a foreign language in different programs, I met hundreds of students from many countries as United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, Nigeria, Malaysia, Brunei, and China. All these different nationalities showed me the amusement of this beautiful world, and pushed me to think of benefiting from any opportunity that concerns visiting one of these countries. Hence, having such opportunity to be a FLA at the College of Holy Cross is highly appreciated and I’m very excited to share with you all what I have learnt throughout my life.

Apart from the field of teaching, I can say that I am a good cook, I know how to cook Moroccan traditional dishes; therefore, be ready to have some workshops about cooking Moroccan and Arabic dishes. Besides, I like all kinds of sport especially soccer and swimming and I love watching movies and series.

Looking forward to meeting you all at Holy Cross. Sincerely yours,

Said Bounouara سلام
