I am Rebecca, and I will be one of your Italian FLAs for the 20\21 academic year. I am currently finishing my MA in European and American Languages and Literatures at the University of Florence, which is also where I live. It is a city full of history, art, and passion, and I cannot wait to share it with you.
I am an Italian native speaker, but, along with English, I can also speak Spanish and I studied both French and Russian. One of my biggest passions is literature. I love books in their physical form, but I also find fascinating the way words combine among each other to conceive a new, meaningful message.
I do love many things in life: nature, travel, cultures, food. I believe that there is beauty in everything, and I cannot wait to fall in love with America and its treasures. I love sports, both watching and play them, so if anyone explains to me how American football works, I will probably love it too.
I am a quite good cook (a really bad baker though!), and I could share my Italian cooking knowledge with you! I’m so excited about the opportunity to be a FLA at the College of the Holy Cross, and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you all in class soon!
