My name is Liu Yiran. As a graduate student in Chinese International Education at Nankai University, I am passionate about promoting cultural exchange.
I come from Tianjin, a city known for its humor, warmth, and rich cultural heritage. Growing up there, I developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and a desire to share Chinese culture with the world.
My research focuses on Peking Opera, a vibrant traditional art form. I am fascinated by its intricate stories, elaborate costumes, and soulful music. I am eager to share my insights with those interested in this fascinating art.
Outside of academics, I enjoy handicrafts, especially traditional Chinese knitting. This hobby allows me to connect with my cultural roots and enrich my personal life.
I am excited about the prospect of joining FLA at College of the Holy Cross. I am confident that my experience in Chinese language education and cultural understanding will contribute to the department. I am looking forward to fostering meaningful relationships and promoting cross-cultural understanding.
I am eager to contribute to College of the Holy Cross and share my passion for Chinese language and culture.
