Rodin:Truth, Form, Life/Selections from the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Collections

O'Kane Hall Cantor Art Gallery: The inaugural exhibition of the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Art Gallery on campus in 1983 featured Rodin sculptures from the collection of the Cantors. Thirty-five years later, in celebration of the Gallery’s anniversary and in conjunction with the College’s one hundred and seventy-fifth, Auguste Rodin’s sculptures will again grace O’Kane Hall in the exhibition Rodin: Truth, Form, Life, Selections from the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Collections.

Brooks Music Center CONCERT HA: Adam Golka and Jan Müller-Szeraws will perform with guest violinist Johnny Gandelsman.Acclaimed solo violinist and member of the Brooklyn Rider String Quartet and the Silk Road Ensemble, Jonny Gandelsman will join Holy Cross Artists-in-Residence, pianist Adam Golka and cellist Jan Müller-Szeraws, in a trio program featuring masterworks by Maurice Ravel and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.Open to the Public

Film Screening: The Foreigner's Home

Carol and Park B. Smith Hall Rehm Lib: "The Foreigner’s Home is a feature-length documentary film that explores the vision and work of Toni Morrison through “The Foreigner’s Home,” the 2006 exhibition she guest-curated at the Louvre. Morrison invited renowned artists whose work also deals with the experience of cultural and social displacement to join her in a public conversation that she had been pursuing for years through her own research and writing and in her teaching at Princeton University.

Lecture: Obama Chief of Staff Denis McDonough on Refugees and Migration

Carol and Park B. Smith Hall Rehm Lib: Denis McDonough, former White House chief of staff for the Obama administration, will talk about refugees and related structural and legal issues. Prior to his term as chief of staff, he was Obama's principal deputy national security advisor and led a multiagency team to address complex issues including the Iran nuclear negotiations, strategic arms reductions talks with Russia, the United States re-balance to Asia, the Afghanistan surge, and the Iraq drawdown.

Lecture: Speaker - Jill Lepore

Henry M. Hogan Campus Center Ballroom & 328: Jill Lepore is the David Woods Kemper ’41 Professor of American History at Harvard University. She is also a staff writer at The New Yorker. A prize-winning professor, she teaches classes in evidence, historical methods, humanistic inquiry, and American history. Much of her scholarship explores absences and asymmetries in the historical record, with a particular emphasis on the histories and technologies of evidence and of privacy.
