Lawn by Linden Lane: In September 2016, Arts Transcending Borders (ATB), in association with the Cantor Art Gallery, Environmental Studies Program and the Department of Visual Arts, hosted environmental artist Patrick Dougherty as Fall ’16 artist-in-residence. For the past 30 years, Dougherty has combined elemental building techniques and a deep knowledge of nature to create his organic sculptures.

Throughout his career he earned the most prestigious awards granted to visual artists, including a Fulbright Grant for Painting, a National Endowment for the Arts Grant, a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, a Pollack/Krasner Grant, and participation in a number of Whitney Museum Biennials.
