John G. Bagley, a partner in the Springfield, Mass., law firm of Morrison, Mahoney & Miller, is a member of the board of editors of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for the year 2000-01. SAFECO Insurance Co., Hartford, Conn., announced the appointment of Peter E. Dunn as senior vice president, effective Aug. 1. Patrick M. Kimener has accepted a position as the director of national sales for the Chicago Faucet Co., headquartered in Des Plaines, Ill. James H. Mullen Jr. is chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Francis C. Nichols, M.D., and his wife, Judy Ann, announce the birth of their daughter, Emily, on Feb. 29. Nichols is now the assistant professor of surgery, division of thoracic surgery, at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minn. John P. Sinnott, who continues to work for the New York County Family Court, has been appointed deputy chief-interstate child support unit. The Phelps Dodge Copper Products Co. recently announced the promotion of William J. Spellman Jr. to the position of vice president, in addition to his current duties as general manager of the company's continuous-cast copper rod and wire plant in Norwich, Conn.

Rev. David F. Gaffney, who was ordained to the priesthood on June 24, is now serving as assistant pastor at St. Luke's Church in Barrington, R.I. John J. Kapp III is senior litigation counsel for the State Farm Insurance Co., practicing with David E. Rehe & Associates in Rutherford, N.J.; the Supreme Court of New Jersey recently recognized Kapp as a certified civil trial attorney. Stephen G. Kenny and his wife, Sheila '82, announce the birth of their daughter, Maeve O'Halloran, on March 17, 1997.

Ashur, a member of the music faculty at Georgetown Preparatory School, Bethesda, Md., presented his program on "music and spirituality" this summer at the Luke 11:1 retreats sponsored by the Jesuit Secondary Education Association, and at a conference on Salesian spirituality in Washington, D.C. Kathy Rohrer Bulkeley and her husband, Jonathan, announce the birth of their son, Benjamin Emerson, on April 29. M. Colleen O'Neil Davis, M.D., and her husband, Ron, announce the birth of their daughter, Erin Grace, on Sept. 8, 1999. Terence J. Delaney, M.D., who practices orthopedic surgery in Los Gatos, Calif., is chief of the department of orthopedics at Los Gatos Community Hospital. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Boys' and Girls' Club of Silicon Valley. Elisabeth M. "Beth" DelPrete, D.O., announces the birth of her son, John Paul "Jack," on Aug. 11, 1999. George D. Donovan Jr. is now the president of Profile Metal Forming Inc., based in Tullahoma, Tenn. Kathleen M. Duffy-Deno and her husband, Kevin, announce the birth of their daughter, Caitrin Aileen, in March. Peter J. Hill, managing director of public finance at J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. in New York City, has been appointed to a three-year term on the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, effective Oct. 1. Sheila O'Halloran Kenny and her husband, Stephen '81, announce the birth of their daughter, Maeve O'Halloran, on March 17, 1997. Bernard J. Kilkelly is now a senior vice president with Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, a strategic communications consulting firm in New York City; his responsibilities include investor relations and financial communications. Therese "Teri" Magnier-Forand and her husband, Mike, announce the birth of their son, John Edward, on Dec. 27. Patricia J. Sommers and her husband, Brian, announce the birth of their daughter, Alison Nicole, on Nov. 25, 1999. The Peace Development Fund, Amherst, Mass., recently announced the appointment of Rev. John H. Vaughn as executive director, effective Aug. 1. Jacqueline Girard Vogl and her husband, Steve, announce the birth of their son, Aidan John.

Elaine is doing free-lance marketing/product development. John has been promoted to principal at Heidrick & Struggles/Fenwick Partners, Lexington, Mass., an executive search firm specializing in technology. Teresa A. "Tracy" Gerety-Ibbotson is currently the director of marketing and admissions for the Easton Lincoln Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Easton, Mass. David E. Haracz and his wife, Mary, announce the birth of their son, Henry Dolan, on Oct. 30, 1999. Brian P. Kelley currently serves as Ford Motor Co.'s president for Internet strategy. Matthew P. Kelley and his wife, Susan '84, announce the birth of their son, Michael James, on May 10. Kelley is the chief financial officer for an advertising firm. Cmdr. Gail P. Kulish, USCG, who recently was promoted to the rank of commander, is now the commanding officer, Coast Guard Atlantic Strike Team, a special unit for oil and chemical spill response. Kulish was recently awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Coast Guard Commendation Medal. Amy S. Lawler and her husband, Tom, announce the birth of their daughter, Fiona Aisling, on Feb. 29. Kathleen E. McCarthy is now with the New York City law firm of Morgan & Finnegan as of counsel, specializing in trademark and copyright law. James F. Queenan III, D.O., who completed his orthopedic residency in New York last year, has joined Southeast Kansas Orthopedics in Chanute. Francis E. "Frank" Raymond III is now serving as an economist in the Rubel School of Business at Bellarmine College in Louisville, Ky. Joseph J. Stavola, M.D., and his wife, Jeanne '84, announce the birth of their son, William John, on March 14. Stavola is currently associate professor of clinical pediatrics, division of pediatric infectious disease-Weill Cornell Medical College at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Ten Eyck Iaquinto has been promoted to the rank of commander in the U.S. Navy. Kenneth H. Jepson is now teaching and coaching at Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham, Mass. Elizabeth (Phillips) Keene and her husband, Chris, announce the birth of their son, Nathan Patrick, on Nov. 28, 1999. Cheryl A. Keller and her husband, Jim, announce the adoption of their son, Peter, born on March 1. Susan (McDonnell) Kelley and her husband, Matthew '83, announce the birth of their son, Michael James, on May 10. Kelley currently teaches the fifth grade. Tracey E. McGrail, who is the president of the Exeter (N.H.) Area Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed by the governor to serve on the Best Schools Council and the New Hampshire Adequate Education and Education Finance Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the Commission on Charitable Giving and Volunteerism in New Hampshire. In May, John T. Murphy was named the chief operating officer of TIS Worldwide. Fred J. O'Connor has joined Diamond Technology Partners Inc., Chicago, Ill., as a partner for business development and strategic relationship management. James J. O'Reilly Jr. and his wife, Kris, announce the birth of their son, Patrick James, on Nov. 8, 1999. Elaine Fisher Phipps and her husband, David, announce the birth of their daughter, Julie Fisher, on March 18. Phipps is a director in the global investment group at MetLife in New York. Mary Hobin and Patrick L. Seely Jr. announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Rose, on May 18. Jeanne C. Serocke and her husband, Joseph '83, announce the birth of their son, William John, on March 14. Serocke is currently the business development counsel for Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Teterboro, N.J. Richard W. Shea Jr. and his wife, Karen, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline English, on June 9. Kathleen O'Donnell Sherman and her husband, Scott, announce the birth of their daughter, Kelly Ann, on Nov. 28, 1999.

Linder, who received her master's degree in public health from the University of Connecticut Health Center in December, is the director of Cliff House, New Haven, Conn. Frederick J. Martin III and his wife, MJ, announce the birth of their daughter, Kaelin, on Feb. 26. Maureen (Donfield) Nahill and her husband, John, announce the birth of their son, John, on Feb. 6.

Helen Whamond Boucher, M.D., and her husband, Norman '85, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline, on Aug. 31, 1999. The Hartford (Conn.) Business Journal profiled Brendan M. Fox Jr. in its Aug. 28 issue; Fox currently serves as the executive director of the Capitol City Economic Development Authority in Hartford. Katherine (Johnson) Mangsen and her husband, Kurt, announce the birth of their son, Derek Raymond, on May 23. Karen I. Mohr, who recently completed her Ph.D. in hydrology at the University of Texas at Austin, accepted a position as assistant professor of earth and atmospheric sciences at SUNY-Albany. Martha N. "Meg" Moore and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of their twins, Katherine Grace and Thomas Christopher, on Oct. 28, 1999. Moore is a vice president with the General Reinsurance Corp. in Philadelphia, Pa. Maura E. Murphy and her husband, Michael, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Murphy, on Nov. 6, 1999. Murphy is the director of the Boston law firm of Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster. Kevin J. O'Connell has become a partner in the Boston law firm of Posternak, Blankstein & Lund. In July, President Clinton named Mark K. Shriver a member of the President's Council on Mental Retardation; he has been serving as a member of the Maryland State House of Delegates since 1994.

Bridget McKeever Matz and her husband, David, announce the birth of their daughter, Lillian Maeve, on Feb. 15. Patrick A. McDevitt and his wife, Kristine, announce the birth of their son, Patrick William, on March 21. Stephen F. McGonigle has recently been named assistant principal at Trinity Catholic High School in Newton, Mass. Elisabeth "Lis" Magnus Mitchell and her husband, Barry, announce the birth of their daughter, Margaret Mason, on May 18. Linda (Goff) Mitchell and her husband, Jim, announce the birth of their daughter, Kelly McGovern, on Jan. 7. Edward J. Murphy and his wife, Beth '88, announce the birth of their son, Daniel Ryan, on Feb. 17. Paul F. O'Keefe, who recently opened law offices in Chicago and Waukegan, Ill., specializes in civil and criminal trial work and real estate. Beatriz Pina Smith and her husband, Andy, announce the birth of their daughter, Gabrielle Elizabeth, on Nov. 16, 1999. Mary Hohman Zinsner and her husband, Chuck, announce the birth of their son, Peter Joseph, on Jan. 11.

Margaret (O'Rourke) Granados has been named the lower school head at the Berkeley Carroll School in Park Slope, Brooklyn, N.Y. Daniel P. Judge, M.D., recently accepted a faculty position at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md.; his clinical practice focuses on heart failure and heart transplantation, and his research involves the molecular investigation of genetic disorders of the cardiovascular system. Robyn (Linehan) Kelliher and her husband, John, announce the birth of their daughter, Olivia Rose, on June 6. William P. Kelly has been named general counsel of ScreamingMedia Inc., an Internet company in New York City. Daniel M. McKivergan has been appointed legislative director for U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona. William J. Meyer and his wife, Maureen '89, announce the birth of their daughter, Sydney Catherine, on Aug. 18, 1999. Elizabeth (Bolduc) Murphy, M.D., and her husband, Edward '87, announce the birth of their son, Daniel Ryan, on Feb. 17. Murphy is a physician in the department of internal medicine and primary care at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Adrienne F. Nelson has received her master of public administration degree in environmental management from the Kean College of New Jersey in Union. Maj. Joseph R. Perlak, USMC, was recently awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for service in the U.N. Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission; Perlak served as a military observer in the demilitarized zone between Iraq and Kuwait, established as part of the truce in the Gulf War. Patricia Daly Santos and her husband, Ron, announce the birth of their son, Daniel James, on Dec. 23, 1999. Joseph P. Walsh Jr. is currently serving as the chief administrator for Salem (Mass.) Mayor Stanley Usovicz.
