Pre-semester Workshop

Engaged Thinking and Student-Centered Pedagogy: Project-Based Learning In and Out of the Classroom

Starting with a session that highlights research and evaluation findings about the benefits of project-based learning, this four-part workshop is designed to help you see how you might easily get involved in project-based learning while providing the tools you can use to tailor project-based learning to your own discipline, experiences, and needs. The workshop will include sessions leading participants through a multi-step process to design effective project-based learning experiences, and explore project-based learning as a general-education strategy.The workshop will culminate with each participant developing an action plan to help facilitate incorporating project-based learning into work with students.
