Summer Housing

Summer housing is available to current Holy Cross students only.

Student Eligibility

Students participating in the Weiss Summer Research Program or enrolled in a summer course at Holy Cross are eligible for summer housing. Summer housing is limited; other applicants are not guaranteed to receive summer housing. Recently graduated seniors will not be approved for summer housing unless they have received prior approval from a sponsoring Holy Cross summer program. If you have questions, please contact the Office of Residence Life & Housing directly at 508-793-2411 or summerhousing@holycross.edu.

Summer Housing

Summer residents will be housed in the Figge Hall and Williams Hall apartments. Each apartment has two double bedrooms, central air conditioning, a furnished living room, a full bathroom, and a full kitchen. Students participating in summer courses and student-athletes will be assigned summer housing in Williams Hall. Williams Hall will not open earlier than 9:30 a.m. on June 1 and will close by 5 p.m. on July 31. Students participating in the Weiss Summer Research Program will be assigned summer housing in Figge Hall. Figge Hall will not open earlier than 9:30 a.m. on June 6 and will close by 5 p.m. on July 31.

NOTE: Students participating in the Weiss Summer Research Program will NOT be billed for housing during the period when they are participating in research (June 6-July 31, 2021).

Extended Summer Housing

By request

7/31/2021

8/23/2021

$700

Requests for extended summer housing, which allows students to remain in on-campus housing after July 31 until Aug. 23, will be approved on a case-by-case basis. Space is very limited. The fee for extended summer housing is $700 regardless of students’ departure date.

Students approved for extended summer housing accommodations are required to vacate their summer housing assignment no later than 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 31 to relocate to another building on campus — there will be no exceptions for any reason. Residence Life and Housing will designate the building and roommate assignments for extended summer housing. There will be no room changes during this time. The designated extended summer housing building is Hanselman Hall, a traditional corridor-style residence hall with common bathrooms and no air conditioning. Storage of items elsewhere on campus during this time is not available.

Further details regarding approval and location for extended summer housing will be communicated during the summer to students who have requested the accommodation.
