Gifts to the Parents Fund provide a way for parents to endorse the extraordinary education and opportunities the College provides their sons and daughters. Annual Fund gifts, in particular, allow the College flexibility in applying resources to the areas of greatest need over the course of each year and support every aspect of a Holy Cross education – internships, study abroad, faculty-student research, athletics, financial aid, and numerous other student-related programs.
Donors may specifically direct their annual fund gifts in support of several mission-critical areas: financial aid, academic excellence, and faith and service initiatives.
Gifts directed toward faith and service honor the College’s legacy of giving back. With donor support, Holy Cross students have many opportunities to participate in highly personal faith experiences, as well as service projects and immersion trips, which inspire them to lead lives that reflect Jesuit, Catholic ideals. Annual gifts that are designated for faith and service support programs that promote faith development, service, and social justice.
A gift designated to academic excellence helps give our faculty the resources and support to create classes, labs, research opportunities, and technological ventures that allow our students to work at levels they never imagined possible in an undergraduate experience.
Meeting the full-demonstrated need of all admitted students is core to our mission. Annual fund gifts designated specifically to financial aid play an important role in helping the College ensure that a Holy Cross education is accessible to all admitted students by meeting 100 percent of demonstrated need, as calculated according to nationally recognized financial aid criteria.
