3:15 p.m. | Class Session: The Impact of Economics on the World of Sports | Hogan Campus Center Holy Cross Economics Professor Victor Matheson and sports author Vin Femia ’72, will talk about one or more of the most important sports economics topics that are in the headlines at the time of the reunion, and the economic impact of Holy Cross not joining the Big East when it was formed in 1979. A question-and-answer session will follow. |

By way of backdrop, he will provide a brief overview of the wine industry and its evolution over the past 30+ years with a particular focus on California. The primary topic of his remarks, however, will be the challenges, opportunities and joys of starting and running a Sonoma County winery. |
