The Holy Cross Leadership Council Bay Area will seek to find and fund internships for Holy Cross students in area businesses and organizations.
The College of the Holy Cross is excited to collaborate with alumni, parents and friends in the Bay Area on the creation of a Leadership Council, with the important long-term goal of raising the profile of Holy Cross and its reputation among employers in the area. Modeled after the very successful Holy Cross Leadership Council of New York, the Bay Area council will seek to find and fund internships for Holy Cross students in area businesses and organizations. Student-interns will benefit from the opportunities to gain work experience, test their skills, and discern a career path. Organizations will be served by the contributions of the high-achieving students they host—and alumni will benefit from the opportunity to network with other graduates and friends of Holy Cross.
The Holy Cross Leadership Council of the Bay Area will provide a venue for Holy Cross alumni, parents and friends to network and eventually, sponsor industry-specific networking events for members, just as the New York Leadership Council has done so successfully.
Internships: The Council seeks to find and fund full-time, 10-week internship opportunities in various industries where students can develop valuable skills and make significant contributions to their internship sites. Funds to support the internships will be raised primarily through individual contributions and through an annual Leadership Council fundraising event. In addition, organizations can sponsor paid internship positions for Holy Cross students.
