Heidi Grek
Visiting Assistant Professor German Studies
Heidi Grek holds a doctorate degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures and Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis (2019) and a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross (2012). After spending the past academic year as a postdoctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University, she is excited to return to her alma mater.
Fields: Her research interests include Goethe, the European epic tradition, and world literature. She continues to develop the comparative readings from her dissertation of Faust and Paradise Lost, The Divine Comedy, and Byron’s Don Juan.

Hannah Müller, German Foreign Language Assistant
Hannah Lea Müller will assist faculty in teaching both the Elementary and Intermediate German classes in 2023/24. She studies at our partner institution, the Otto-Friedrich-Universität, in Bamberg. Ultimately, she plans to teach English in the German secondary school system. You can most easily contact her via email or stop by her office, Stein 431, for drop-in office hours.
