Masking Updates

Our case numbers are looking good recently, and that’s in part because of the widespread use of masks indoors. Masking has enabled us to have all the great experiences that we missed last year, like the fall concert, family weekend, inauguration, and the many athletics, arts, and student organized activities throughout the fall.

As a result, we will continue mandatory indoor masking through the fall term. The masking policy will be reevaluated before the spring semester.

We are making one slight change to the mask policy: Masks are now encouraged but optional inside residence halls.

Thank you again for your adherence to this important policy.

Going to Miss a Test? Let Us Know Ahead of Time

Students: If extraordinary circumstances arise and you believe you will not be able to satisfy the on-campus COVID testing requirement for a specific timeframe, you must notify the COVID response team in advance by filling out this form.

Please be sure to fill out the form before you fall out of compliance to avoid getting a red X in HC Clear.

Reminder About Testing Requirements

As a reminder, all students must test twice weekly. Fully vaccinated employees must test at least once per week. Non-fully vaccinated employees must test twice weekly.

Cleaning After a Positive Test

Cleaning supplies are available to students in the event of a positive case involving a roommate or suitemate. Contact tracers will offer supplies when they contact you.
