Current Status: Orange
Last weekend, we moved to an Orange alert level. Find out more about alert levels here.
As students begin moving onto campus, we are monitoring a number of key metrics and will use these to help determine our alert level going into the start of the semester. As of Friday morning, here’s a look at two of our key metrics so far:
- 1.3 percent of students tested during the first week of move-in were positive.
- We have used less than 5% of our available isolation and quarantine space.
We will continue to monitor these and other indicators as we welcome back first-year students over the weekend and more students throughout the next week. We will update you as we get closer to the end of the month about our plans for the start of the semester.
This semester, it will be very important for all students, on- or off-campus, to have a plan of action in place in the event they must quarantine. We need students to review and fill out this form, which asks you to consider whether you have discussed this plan with your family, and made other preparations as you head back to campus.
Move In Info
As a reminder, we've collected move in info on our Residence Life website.
The Orange alert level means all dining on campus at the moment is takeout only. To answer a frequently asked question, this does not change any aspect of a student’s meal plan, other than that food must be taken to go, rather than eaten in the dining hall. You will still have a variety of options for each meal in Kimball.
We hope to be able to return to Yellow alert status, which would mean socially distanced eat-in options in Kimball. To help reduce lines and encourage social distancing, Grubhub will be required for all other dining locations. Signing up for Grubhub is easy and allows for several payment options. Your account can be linked directly to your meal plan giving you a variety of options for dining on campus. Grubhub is available for Apple and Android devices. Instructions for downloading the app and connecting your OneCard can be found on the Dining website.
