SHAPE: Sexual Health Awareness Peer Educators
The mission of the Sexual Health Awareness Peer Educators (SHAPE) is to promote responsible decisions regarding male and female sexual health. This student group works to educate the student body about sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including AIDS and HIV.
SHAPE also shares information and promotes awareness of gender-specific cancers including breast cancer and testicular cancer. The Sexual Health Awareness Peer Educators are available to fellow students as a resource for information and referrals. SHAPE upholds the College's standards concerning sexual health information set forth by the Vice President for Student Affairs in keeping with the mission of a Jesuit institution.
SHAPE sponsored events include: a Breast Cancer Walk, a Dodgeball Tournament to support testicular cancer, “Facts of the Week” and bulletin boards posted in the Residence Halls, Safe Spring Break kits, and AIDS Awareness Week.
