Letter from Chief of Student Government Association
Fellow Crusaders,
Opportunities to get involved, “live the mission,” and make your voice heard on campus are abundant on Mount St. James. The Student Government Association has made it a priority to provide Holy Cross students with myriad opportunities to either involve themselves in the inner workings of the school or participate in the democratic processes in place. Yet our comfortable surroundings on the Hill should not keep us from considering developments taking place in our country. Although participation on campus is a crucial component to life at Holy Cross, participation in American life and politics is equally important.
We are writing to you months in advance in order for you to remember something that can get lost in the shuffle of ERES readings, midterm exams, and late-night study sessions at Dinand: casting a ballot on Election Day.
The good news is that Holy Cross is committed to helping students remember this important responsibility by providing them with the essential forms to establish Worcester residency or file for absentee ballots. Qualified individuals will be available to help you complete these forms throughout the year.
It is our hope that each of you seizes the opportunity to make your voice heard not only on campus, but also within the national community at large.
Sincerely,
Justin Brooks ’08
Student Government Association
Chief of Staff
