'I Love it Here' 1.02 - Haircut

Okay, so, I'm going to start by talking about some of my favorite places to go in Worcester. Who knows? Maybe you guys will go to some of these spots and they will become some of your favorites too. Anyway, this first place is definitely a place I think you guys should know about.

Of course, I'm starting with Kay's Barber Shop on Park Ave. (If you drive down Southbridge Street and take a left onto Cambridge Street and follow it to the end, where Dunkin' Donuts, Arby's and Rob Roy are, that's Park Ave.) People, especially freshmen and new faculty, are always wondering where in Worcester they can get a good haircut at a decent price. Well, look no further: Kay's is a great place and it's close to campus. There are six women who cut hair there five days a week (Not open on Sunday and Monday, but open late on Thursdays). For a cool $10 you can get a quality cut. Plus it's a great Worcester hangout. The shop is always buzzing with activity. You'll find everyone from college students, to local politicians, to police officers and firefighters get their cut at Kay's. If there's a line, and there may be because of it's popularity, take a seat and pick up the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, Worcester's own daily newspaper, and find out what's going on in the community. Anyway, be sure to check out Kay's, you won't be disappointed.
