Welcome to the College of the Holy Cross! Congratulations! Your strong academic background and hard work have earned you a place at one of the most selective institutions in the nation. On behalf of the Holy Cross community I wish to express my excitement about having you attend the College for the 2013-2014 academic year.
There are many programs and events designed to make your transition into the Holy Cross community enjoyable. Gateways Summer Orientation is one program I would like to highlight for you. The Gateways Summer Orientation program is a two-day orientation to Holy Cross for you and your parents held in June. Gateways is designed to offer you an introduction to your Holy Cross education and will allow you to meet faculty, administrators and current students. It will enable you to learn first hand about academic, spiritual, and social life at the College. As a bonus, you will also have a chance to meet and get to know other members of the Class of 2017!
The questions you ask during Gateways, and the experiences you share during the calm of summer, should make your fall transition to Holy Cross both positive and enjoyable. I encourage you to fully embrace the Gateways experience and it is my hope that you will sincerely "live the mission" during your journey at Holy Cross.
