What is required of me if I’m admitted to the Summer Internship Program?
Once a student is admitted to the program there are some requirements which must be fulfilled:
- All students must attend an Orientation and an Interview Skills workshop prior to applying to any of the internships housed within the SIP.
- A thank you note must be sent within 24 hours of every interview for an internship.
- If a student secures one of the internships in the SIP he/she must remain in contact with the Director of the SIP over the course of the summer via email and respond to all requests for information.
- Interns must set written goals and/or objectives at the beginning of the internship and complete a mid-term and summer-end evaluation of the internship.
- Site visits will be conducted by the Summer Internship Program with most of the interns during the course of the summer.
- A thank you note must be sent to the supervisor as well as the alumna/us, parent or friend who arranged the internship at the end of the summer.
