Corporate Merchandising Internship Program

Our Merchandising internship program is based out of Corporate Office, with limited opportunities in our NYC or LA buying offices. TJX’s Corporate Merchandise Internship Program teaches you how to run the business from behind the scenes and develops future leaders in our Merchandising Division. It starts with a week of training to learn how we analyze the numbers and reports and ultimately how our decisions impact the business. You will use your strong analytical, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills to strategically drive TJX businesses during your internship.
The Internship: This is a full-time, paid summer internship in our Merchandise Planning Department, located in our corporate office in Framingham, MA. The internship exposes you to the exciting world of off-price retail while working with our Planning & Allocation and Buying Teams. It is an opportunity to use your analytical and leadership skills, while thinking both creatively and strategically.
Whether you are interested in Merchandise Planning & Allocation or Merchandise Buying, you will have an opportunity to learn first hand about corporate retailing.
HOW You Showcase Your Talent:
- Analyze weekly sales reports to develop merchandise strategies and allocate product
- Communicate and resolve merchandise issues with Distribution Centers and Buyers
- Interact with Planning, Buying and Merchandising Executives
- Offer creative input to drive sales through store visits and competitive shopping
- Complete special projects as assigned

Qualifications: Class of 2011 or 2012.
- All majors with a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Students with proven leadership abilities and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with numbers while thinking creatively
- Excellent communicators who work well in teams
- Self-starters who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
