Leadership Development Program Internship

Leadership Development Program Internship:
In support of Sun Life Financial’s Rotational Leadership Development Program, we are offering a 10 week summer internship opportunity for high potential college juniors. Successful graduates of the RLDP internship program will be given the opportunity to pursue placement in the Leadership Development program upon graduation. The RLDP is an accelerated leadership development business curriculum. The primary goal of the Program is to build a diverse leadership talent pipeline to support the ongoing growth of Sun Life Financial in the U.S. marketplace.
As an intern, you will be assigned to a business area that matches your interests, academic experience and skill set. The goal of the internship is to gain the critical skills, knowledge and competencies required for entry into Sun Life’s three year Rotational Leadership Development Program. Assignments are based in the Sun Life Financial U.S. headquarters in Wellesley Hills, MA and include our three U.S. Business Units (Individual Life Insurance, Group Insurance and Annuities) & all Support Divisions (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Project/Program Management, Information Technology, Operations, Law & Compliance.)
Upon graduation from the internship program, participants will have an opportunity to pursue placement in the RLDP. This placement is based upon the needs of the business, the participant’s performance and the career interests of the participant.

Qualifications:
- Class of 2011
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 (Dean’s List)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Well-balanced experiences in academics and extra-curricular activities
- Demonstrated track record of success as a leader of teams and/or projects
- Strong work ethic
