Summer Analyst
Summer analyst: Summer analysts attend a brief orientation/training program on the private banking business to introduce our strategy, products and business groups. Analysts will participate in a performance management process where they set and monitor goals and objectives throughout the summer. Over the course of the summer, analysts attend a variety of speaker series and networking events across a variety of JPMorgan Chase lines of business.
Program Overview: Private Banking summer analysts support an integrated team and work with bankers, investors, or capital advisors or support a product/solutions team. Depending on the role, analysts help devise customized financial strategies for existing or prospective clients, become an expert in a range of proprietary models, conduct research and analysis, and assist with product development.
Assignments: Integrated team analysts work with our bankers, global investment specialists, capital advisors and wealth planning experts to bring in new clients and to serve existing clients by devising customized financial strategies. These analysts become expert at using our proprietary asset allocation, wealth projection, trust and stock option models, and they become comfortable speaking to clients about our entire range of investment management and brokerage products. Integrated team analysts support teams in various locations throughout the U.S. (including NY, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Florida, Texas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco).
Analysts in product/solutions teams work with Investment Professionals in our market strategy, alternative investments, fixed income, and equity groups, just to name a few. They conduct research and analysis, assist with product development and help respond to inquiries from clients and from professionals within the Private Bank.

Locations: Integrated team analysts support teams in various locations throughout the U.S. (including NY, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Florida, Texas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco).
Qualifications: Class of 2009. We seek candidates with strong analytical skills who can use both qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex financial situations. Candidates should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well as an integral member of a team, as well as the initiative, energy and confidence to complete projects with limited supervision. Judgment and discretion in working with highly confidential information are also critical. For placement on a U.S.-based Latin American team, relevant language skills and cultural knowledge are essential. All Analysts candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.2.
