Operations Summer Analyst Role
Summer Analysts joining Goldman Sachs Operations play an influential role in delivering the division’s business management capabilities to the wider firm, and in maintaining the firm’s market-leading position and reputation. You will join a highly professional team in one of our many departments; with such diverse opportunities there is no ‘typical’ analyst role but your responsibilities may include:

  • Understanding the firm’s processes and controls to ensure transactions are settled to a high standard of accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintaining and enhancing our client relationships by providing proactive, high-quality client service – making it easy and preferable for clients to transact business with Goldman Sachs
  • Working with colleagues in IT, Legal, Compliance and other divisions to provide the support and infrastructure that underpins our market activities
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and developing methods to reduce risks, enhance controls and increase customer satisfaction 
  • Identifying anomalies in the firm’s books and records, performing root-cause analysis and resolving the underlying issues
  • Undertaking projects or project components relating to the launch of new products, the opening of new offices and wider business matters such as recruitment and training.

The Operations Summer Analyst Program
Summer Analysts join a ten-week comprehensive program, where you are given the opportunity to learn critical business skills, while gaining fundamental experience in your respective departments.  At Goldman Sachs, you will find yourself in a team-based, collegial environment where people take the time to properly train, mentor and support you.  Our training program is an important part of our culture which will help to maximize your personal and professional development.  You will be working alongside a talented and diverse group of colleagues who focus on teamwork, integrity, meritocracy, excellence, client focus and entrepreneurial spirit.
 In addition to working with your departments on a daily basis, the Summer Analyst Program also includes various Learning Series, networking and social events, formal mid-summer and final review processes, and much more.

Qualifications:  Class of 2010.  Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.20
