Intern, Fidelity Capital Markets Services

Established in 1989, Fidelity Capital Markets Services is a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments and located at the World Trade Center in Boston, MA. Our group of roughly 300+ employees is responsible for handling all the Equity and Fixed Income trading activity of Fidelity's diverse investor base. Fidelity Capital Markets maintains a significant presence on the NYSE, we make markets in roughly 300 listed equity issues and over 300 NASDAQ issues. Our firm handles over 80 billion shares annually.

Description: The Intern will join a specific functional group within our firm, wherein he/she will gain invaluable “sell-side” hands on experience working for a major brokerage company. The assignments are based largely on organizational need and one may be designated for assignment to any number of desks including, but not limited to:  Equity or Fixed Income Sales and Trading, Prime Services, Securities Lending, Electronic Trading, Strategic Development, Financial Engineering, Operations or other areas which may have a particular opening/need at that time.  Employment begins in June and runs for two months.

Qualifications: Class of 2009 or 2010.  You must be admitted to the Summer Internship Program to apply for this internship.

Fidelity Capital Markets Services is seeking candidates that are on course to graduate with a bachelor's degree that have a demonstrated quantitative aptitude, leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills.  The candidate should have a strong interest in financial services and be open to exploring the different areas of a brokerage company.  A willingness to work hard and gain valuable experience. 

The candidate must be a United States citizen.
