Championship Internship Program
Background:
The Deutsche Bank Championship is a full-field PGA TOUR event in its fourth year being held at the Tournament Players Club of Boston. The inaugural Deutsche Bank Championship was an overwhelming success raising over $1.5 million for the Tiger Woods Foundation and local New England charities, a record for a first year PGA TOUR event. 2005 proved to be another record year for charity. The Championship set a new level of giving at $1.6 million. Overall, the Deutsche Bank Championship has now raised more than $4.5 million for charity in three years. The Tiger Woods Foundation is the primary charity and sanctioning body for this event and is committed to empowering young people to reach their highest potential by initiating and supporting community-based programs that promote health, education, and welfare of all of America’s children.
