Corporate Partnerships Intern

City Parks Foundation (CPF) is the only independent, non-profit organization to offer park programs throughout the five boroughs of New York City.  By presenting a broad range of free arts, sports and education programs in more than 700 parks and to over 600,000 New Yorkers citywide, and by helping citizens support their local parks, CPF contributes to the revitalization of neighborhoods throughout New York City. 

Central Park SummerStage, the flagship performing arts festival of City Parks Foundation, showcases some of the world’s most accomplished and inventive musicians, dancers, filmmakers, comedians, and writers.  Each season, SummerStage presents more than 30 high-quality, outdoor, free concerts for the people of New York City.  In its 23 year history, SummerStage has featured a total of 1,839 diverse artist performances at 803 events to more than 3 million people in Central Park. 

Job Description:
The Corporate Partnerships Intern will be responsible for providing support to the Sponsorship Manager, with specific emphasis on assistance with onsite sponsor needs for Central Park SummerStage and other citywide Arts programs as needed. The intern will be expected to work at all Central Park SummerStage events. He/she will report directly to the Sponsorship Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for Sponsor fulfillment of their needs at Central Park SummerStage and other citywide Arts programs as needed.
  • Contact sponsors for guest names for SummerStage VIP list and private parties.
  • Attend all SummerStage concerts.  Tasks include, but are not limited to, overseeing sponsor arrival and set up and break down of promotional booth(s), and sponsor check-in at hospitality tent.
  • Provide administrative support for Sponsorship Manager. This may include confirming Sponsor needs, coordinating meetings and returning related phone calls.

Qualifications: Class of 2010 or 2011.  You must be admitted to the Summer Internship Program to apply for this internship.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word. A valid driver's license is required.

Dates: This internship will begin mid-May and go for 10 weeks through late July.
