Each summer, Coach offers a paid Internship Program in our New York City corporate headquarters. The program provides interns the opportunity to develop critical skill sets and gain hands-on experience in a fast paced environment while contributing to the performance of a high performing luxury accessories brand. This year, we will be hosting two Holy Cross interns in our Corporate Merchandising (CM) and Corporate Merchandise Planning (CMP) departments from June 3 through August 15.
Internships consist of day-to-day work within the intern’s specific department, as well as learning sessions with top executives across the organization. Each intern works closely with a mentor who gives guidance and enhances the learning experience through feedback and coaching, and interns also attend social events where they have the opportunity to network with other interns and Coach employees.
Location: New York, NY
Corporate Merchandise Planning (CMP) Intern:
CMP supports Corporate Merchandising and the product development process, by providing planning and analytical tools used to manage sales, gross margin, and inventory. The CMP Intern will support the team with the development of reporting and analytical tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete Hindsight Analysis to provide Corporate Merchandising with tools that highlight opportunities for future development
- Analyze weekly business trends utilizing standard reporting tools and communicate risks and opportunities to Corporate Merchandising and Planning
- Complete analysis on sales, gross margin, and investment performance for multiple departments by Business Units
- Assist in the testing and implementation of systems changes, and validation of data
Qualifications:
- Class of 2009. You must be admitted to the Summer Internship program to apply for this internship
- Strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills are required.
- Related retail/fashion internship or work experience and strong computer skills are preferred.
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to adjust to competing and shifting priorities
- Excellent technical/computer skills
- Ability to communicate with varying levels of management
- Strong degree of ownership and empowerment
Merchandising (CM) Intern
CM is responsible for guiding and facilitating the merchandising function for the Coach brand. They are responsible for driving our business and product development processes to ensure that cross-functional teams work collaboratively to execute processes and meet their deadlines, and that Coach meets its financial targets. The CM intern will support factory team and assist the department with presentation and meeting preparation, preparing product knowledge tools, maintaining the sample order process and participating in competitive research.
Responsibilities include:
- sample coordination
- color swatch boards
- market week information sheets
- compiling information for assortment grids
Qualifications:
- Class of 2009. You must be admitted to the Summer Internship program to apply for this internship
- Strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills are required.
- Related retail/fashion internship or work experience and strong computer skills are preferred.
- Strong analytical skills as well proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
Internship Dates: June 3 through August 15.
