Summer Intern
About the firm: Chapdelaine & Co ("Chappy") is an inter-dealer broker in the municipal, agency, corporate bond and CDS markets. As an inter-dealer broker, Chappy acts as an intermediary, facilitating transactions between broker/dealers and dealer banks.
About the internship: The goal is for the intern to gain a broad understanding of the financials markets and, more specifically, experience all facets of the inter-dealer broker business. The intern will rotate through each trading desk as well as the back office and trade processing groups. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: assisting brokers in their trade execution, understanding the life of a trade (from front to back-office), ad-hoc tasks, etc.
Location: New York, NY
This 10-week, full-time internship carries a stipend from the Holy Cross Leadership Council of New York.
Qualifications: Class of 2010 or 2011. You must be admitted to the Summer Internship Program to apply. Some knowledge of and interest in the financial markets is required.
