Marketing, Public Relations and E-Commerce Intern
Brooklyn Industries is seeking a Summer 2009 intern who can help manage and plan various online and in-store marketing and advertising campaigns that focus on pushing sales of each seasonal collection of clothing. Intern will also assist in preparing content for new website.
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Helping public relations in managing press tracking and building/updating press contact list
2) In-store events logistical planning and assistance with events
3) Advertising and media calendar collection and compilation onto master calendar
4) Marketing research and survey data compilation and analysis
5) Assistance in placing new apparel photos and item numbers online on website
6) Build out of Twitter and Facebook presence and other user-generated content sites
7) Some Ad Words keyword research for click-through advertising campaigns
8) Possible assistance with on-location photo shoots and in-office product shooting
9) Maintain ownership of one major marketing project (TBD) and present it to CEO/Marketing Manager in last week of Internship
Requirements:
The individual most fit for this job will be hard-working, meticulous, eager and outgoing. You must be able to manage multiple projects and see them through to execution. You can’t be afraid to work with several different departments of this small entrepreneurial clothing and accessories company, and you can’t be afraid to make press cold calls from time to time. A good-to-excellent writer is preferred, but not required. Some basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (Microsoft 2007) is preferred, but not required. Applicant should have basic-to-advanced knowledge of pop culture and social media. We are also looking for someone who is full of ideas and is not afraid to share them!

This 10-week, full-time internship carries a stipend from the Holy Cross Leadership Council of New York
