Account Management Intern

Account Management oversees the planning and execution of all aspects of an advertising campaign. This group coordinates the other agency divisions as they work together to develop campaigns. Account Managers manage the firm's relationship with clients, ensuring that the agency meets the clients' needs as it develops each campaign.  As part of the Account Management group you will be helping your firm to develop successful advertising strategies and oversee important accounts.

The intern will obtain knowledge and understanding of the following:

  • Learn how to provide effective day-to-day administrative, planning and client service support;
  • How to track competitive activity and consumer trends and analyze research findings for existing clients;
  • Collaborating with and assisting the AE and Account Supervisor in preparation of recommendations, marketing strategies and actions for the client;
  • Learn how to coordinate creative/print/traffic/media production projects;
  • Learn and assist in developing workable budgets and plans;
  • Assisting with project/job estimates; and
  • Learn how to keep client and agency informed throughout the entire project cycle via status reports, memos, and other written and verbal communications

Account Planning takes data about consumer demographics and trends and uses that data to profile a particular consumer for a particular client.  Account planning serves as an intermediary between the creative and research areas of an advertising agency by getting into the "mind" of a consumer to determine the most effective strategies to reach that particular group.
