Sexual Assault Facts, Education and Response (SAFER)

Sexual assault is an issue of significant concern on college campuses throughout the United States, including at the College of the Holy Cross.  We are committed to providing useful information and top-quality resources to keep students and other community members informed about sexual assault and its prevention.  We hope that you find this site valuable.

Greetings from the Sexual Assault Facts, Education, and Response (SAFER) Team!

Over the next few weeks, first-year students are required to attend a mandatory bystander intervention educational program. You will have the opportunity to learn skills that will help you be a proactive campus member and contribute to a safer campus community.

You need only attend one 60-minute session. On each date listed, programs will occur concurrently in Hanselman, Brooks-Mulledy, and Wheeler halls from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. and 8-9 p.m. Because the training is mandatory, you will have a hold message in STAR until you complete the training.

The dates of the scheduled trainings are:

  • Monday, September 19, 2016
  • Monday, September 26, 2016
  • Wednesday, September 28, 2016
  • Thursday, September 29, 2016
  • Monday, October 3, 2016
  • Wednesday, October 5, 2016

SAFER is a Presidential Advisory Committee at Holy Cross committed to keeping campus members informed about sexual assault and its prevention. Denim Day

Members of the Holy Cross Community are wearing denim on April 26, 2017 in support of Denim Day. Wearing jeans on this day will be a visible sign of protest against sexual violence.  Please donate your $5.00 here
