Program Mission
Over the years, thousands of Holy Cross students have gone on after graduation to forge exceptional careers in business. Whether they’ve majored in economics or art history, these business leaders have brought their liberal arts education into the workplace—and excelled.
Now, calling upon many of these graduates, Holy Cross is offering a unique opportunity to students who are interested in entering the business world.
The Summer Business Program reflects what makes learning at Holy Cross so special. The program’s curriculum—combining individualized instruction with team projects directed by some of the nation’s most successful business leaders—recognizes the importance of business to society and the greater good. The lessons of running and launching a business, research/analysis, marketing, and financial accounting are all presented and put into practice through real-world problem-solving. Plus, through the experiences of alumni/ae executives, the program offers a window into how moral values and ethical practices lead to business success.
The Holy Cross Summer Business Program focuses on four key areas of inquiry:
- Understanding business
- Business skills
- Leadership development
- Entrepreneurship
Students work directly with Holy Cross alumni/ae who are at the top of their business careers, proven leaders and innovators in a wide range of fields. These men and women have first-hand experience with combining their undergraduate liberal arts training with real world business and corporate life.
After four weeks studying with professors and skilled executives, students will leave with new perspectives, enhanced marketability and preparedness—and a distinctive edge in the competitive and increasingly complex job market.
