Frequently Asked Questions

I didn’t major in economics or accounting.  Can I still apply?

The content of this program is based on the premise that students have no prior knowledge of business and seeks to understand business “from the ground floor up.”  The Summer Business Program is open to all majors, especially those who did not major in economics or accounting.


Where will I live and eat?

Housing will be provided in one of the residence halls on campus.  Students can buy meals from any of the eateries on or near campus.


Will I have free time?

Each weekday will be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..  In addition, students must find time to work on their team projects.  Weekends are free.


Can I use Holy Cross facilities?

All Holy Cross facilities that are usually available to students during the academic year are available for use during the 4-week program.


May I commute?

Yes, provided you arrive on time to participate in the daily sessions, and participate in team meetings held outside of regular hours.  Commuters will pay a slightly reduced fee.


Are textbooks required?

No.  All materials will be provided for you.


Where will classes/team meetings be held?

All classes will be held in one of the academic buildings on campus.  Team meetings can be held anywhere on campus (classroom, residence hall, Hogan Campus Center)


Even though this program is less than half the cost of many comparable summer programs at other colleges and universities, the price is still steep for me.  Is there financial aid available?

Complete the online application and submit it electronically to the Office of Entrepreneurial Studies.  Interviews will be scheduled after applications have been received.

When will I know if I’ve been accepted?

Applicants will be notified at program decisions no later than mid-April.
