Holy Cross Sponsoring Seventh Annual Relay for Disaster Relief

Proceeds will benefit the Beverly School in Kenya

WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross will hold its seventh annual Relay for Disaster Relief on Tuesday, April 22 at 5:30 p.m. starting at Healy Residence Hall. Contributions from the event will be donated to the Beverly School in Kenya to show Holy Cross’ support for the spiritual, mental and physical development of children worldwide.

Students, faculty members, and staff will come together to raise a minimum of $200 (per team) and complete 30 laps per group either by walking, running or jogging. 

More than 300 volunteers are expected to participate in this year’s event. The relay is open to all members of the Worcester Consortium.

In previous years, the proceeds from the relay have been donated to the Sept. 11 relief effort and Hurricane Katrina victims.

The relay schedule of events is as follows:

5:30 p.m. Registration
5:45 p.m. Opening Ceremony
6:00 p.m. Relay Start
