March 11, 2005 ‘Women and War’ Subject of Events at Holy CrossWORCESTER, Mass. – Women’s and Gender Studies, Asian Studies, and Peace and Conflict Studies at the College of the Holy Cross are sponsoring a series of events on the topic of "Women and War" during the month of March. All the events are free and open to the public. "Women and War" is a three-part series of films, discussions, and lectures exposing the underexamined roles that women have played in international armed conflict. The series is intended to raise questions about women as agents versus victims, to examine societal responses to women’s experiences in war, and to illuminate the factors that contribute to women’s resilience.
