January 26, 2004 Holy Cross to Host Teleconference on Servicing Deaf and Hard of Hearing StudentsWORCESTER, Mass. – Holy
Cross will host a national Postsecondary Education
Programs Network (PEPNet) Satellite Teleconference
on Thursday, Feb. 19 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
in Stein Hall 102. The program, titled "Emerging
Legal Trends: Impact on Services for Kincaid is a nationally recognized disability rights attorney. During the live teleconference she will address several issues currently facing colleges and universities throughout the nation. A panel of experts will provide participants with proven best practices when serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing at all levels of postsecondary education. Among the topics to be addressed:
The teleconference is intended to be a highly interactive session. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance by e-mail or to call in with questions during the live broadcast.
