Lecture on Spirituality, Aging and Ethics at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – There will be a lecture by Helen K. Black on Monday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Rehm Library of Smith Hall. The lecture, titled "She Cried, He Cried? Gender Differences in Elders' Expressions of Suffering," is free and open to the public.

Black, senior research scientist at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center, will speak on gender, aging and suffering. A commanding qualitative researcher, Black is co-author of "Old Souls: Aged Women, Poverty and the Experience of God" and author of "Jake's Story: A Middle Aged, Working Class Man's Physical and Spiritual Journey Toward Death."

This lecture is part of the Spirituality, Aging and Ethics Lecture Series, co-sponsored by Holy Cross' Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture and the Worcester Consortium Gerontology Studies Program.
