January 31, 2001 Pop/Folk Band "Love Pie" to Perform at Holy CrossWORCESTER, Mass. – Pop/folk rock band Love Pie will give a concert at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb.17, in Crossroads, located in the basement of the Hogan Campus Center. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the concert is free and open to the public. Led by singer-songwriter NiNi Camps, Love Pie has been establishing itself on the New York City club scene since 1997. Comprised of guitarist Bill Masters, bassist Jon Ossman and drummer Steve Hass, the band’s music is described as a mixture of folk, pop and Cuban rhythms. Love Pie recently released their self-titled debut album on ModMusic Records, which has been receiving rave reviews as well as NPR and college radio airplay. Recently, Love Pie’s music was featured on the WB hit series, "Felicity," and will be heard in several upcoming independent films. With Marilyn D'Amato and Trina Hamlin, Camps is part of the "Acoustic Girl Circle", which features three of New York City’s best up and coming female singer-songwriters.
