Third Annual Ballroom Dance Competition at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Several hundred college students will compete in the third annual Holy Cross Ballroom Competition in the Hogan Campus Center ballroom at the College on Saturday, February 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Team and individual competitions at all skill levels will be held and ribbons will be awarded to the top dancers. The event features exotic costumes and a wide variety of music and dance. The categories include waltz, swing, rhumba, tango, foxtrot, cha-cha, lindy hop, hustle and a special wildcard dance. In addition to Holy Cross, the following colleges are expected to field competitors: Clark University, WPI, Brown, New York University, Northeastern University, Boston University, University of Connecticut, Harvard and MIT.

Following the competition there will be a dance open to all.
