Composer Osvaldo Golijov of the music department was in attendance when his piece was performed at the Library of Congress, as part of World Bank President James Wolfensohn's 70th birthday concert. Performers for the event included U2's Bono, cellists Yo-Yo Ma, Cho-Liang Lin and Sharon Robinson, pianist Vladimir Feltsman, violinists Jaime Laredo and Pinchas Zukerman, and Wolfensohn himself.
