Video: Cast and Crew Discuss ‘Smart, Savvy’ Production of  ‘Much Ado About Nothing’

Molly Oliver '10

On Aug. 4, Holy Cross’ Redfeather Theatre Company kicked off its second show this season at the Memorial Grove Amphitheatre in Worcester’s Green Hill Park — and it looks like it’s another crowd pleaser.

Just like Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing received a four-star review in the Telegram & Gazette. Both shows are directed by Edward Isser, professor and chair of the theatre department at Holy Cross.

“Edward Isser’s creative arsenal apparently has no bounds,” writes reviewer Paul Kolas. “His febrile directorial imagination has come up with a smart, savvy, and altogether transporting version of Much Ado About Nothing.”

Before the opening night performance, several members of the cast and crew spoke about the play, the splendor of working and performing in an outdoor Shakespeare festival, and the dazzling 1940s costumes.
