For the fourth year in a row, students at Holy Cross are starring in and learning what it takes to mount an outdoor Shakespeare festival.

On July 22, Holy Cross’ Redfeather Theater Company kicked off this year’s season with Macbeth at the Memorial Grove Amphitheatre in Worcester’s beautiful Green Hill Park. The company’s second production, Much Ado About Nothing, opens Aug. 4. For complete performance information, visit the Redfeather Web site

Students work alongside professional actors, members of the Worcester community, and Holy Cross alumni, and under the direction of Edward Isser, professor and chair of the theatre department at Holy Cross. Macbeth received four out of four stars from the Telegram & Gazette

Minutes before showtime, students and alumni talked about what goes on behind the scenes and the excitement of performing at the Worcester Shakespeare Festival.
