Holy Cross Easter Egg HuntThe Easter Bunny hopped up to Mount Saint James to the delight of approximately 100 children at an Easter Egg Hunt at Holy Cross on Saturday morning, March 23. The early morning fun began at 9 a.m. when children were welcomed into to the basketball court covered with about 2,000 colorful, candy-filled plastic eggs and chocolate eggs."It took a while for us to get the eggs arranged, but the kids had it cleaned up in minutes," said Ryan Leonard '02, one of the student organizers. "It was a lot of fun to watch." A new Holy Cross student organization, S.A.D.E.R. (Student Ambassadors Developing External Relations), sponsored the event in the Hart Recreation Center for children of faculty and staff, and for neighbors and their children. The goal of the S.A.D.E.R. program is to enhance the relationship between Holy Cross students and the neighbors in the College Hill neighborhood. Anne Vozzella '02, dressed as the Easter Bunny, handed out more candy to the children as they posed patiently for their parents. Chocolate-filled children found it a great way to start the day. Happy Easter from the entire Holy Cross community! |
