Penalties and Fines

Parking fines are the responsibility of the person who purchased the parking decal and registered the vehicle.  All roadways are considered 'fire lanes' and must be kept clear for emergency vehicles. 

Violation Codes and Fines

  • No Holy Cross Permit/Decal: $50.00
  • Handicapped Parking: $100.00
  • Marked Fire Lane: $25.00
  • Reserved Parking Space: $25.00
  • Hindering Snow Removal: $50.00
  • Loading Zone/Delivery Zone: $25.00
  • Speed Limit Violation: $25.00
  • Traffic Sign Violation: $25.00
  • 30 Minute Parking: $25.00
  • Blocking Doorways, Stairways, Etc.: $25.00
  • Restricted Area: $25.00
  • Parking Priviledges Revoked: $25.00
  • Overnight Parking: $25.00
  • Blocking a Crosswalk: $25.00
  • Altered/Counterfeit Decal: $100.00
  • Towed/Excessive Violations: $50.00
  • No Parking: $25.00

Fines apply to all members of the Holy Cross community - students, staff, faculty and administrators. All fines are to be paid at the Bursar's Office, O'Kane Room 152 within 10 days of the date of the violation.

Employees who have an assessed sum under these regulations remaining unpaid after thirty (30) days, will be subject to payroll deduction to pay such obligation. ANY member of the College community who receives six (6) or more violations in an academic year will have their parking privileges revoked for the remainder of the academic year.

Any person whose right to have a vehicle on campus has been revoked and then brings a vehicle on campus will be subject to $100.00 fine and disciplinary action. Their vehicle will also be towed from campus at their expense.
