Gateways Fall Orientation

Welcome to the College of the Holy Cross! At Holy Cross, we recognize the significance of the transition to college and are committed to supporting students and families during the transition

Gateways Fall Orientation is a multi-day orientation program that kicks off on move-in day and concludes the day before the first day of classes. Fall orientation is an opportunity to further develop connections with peers and become better acclimated to and prepared for the first semester.

All first-year students participate in Gateways Fall Orientation. This program will share information, expectations, and resources in the areas of academics, residence life, community standards, mental health and wellness, sexual respect, and diversity, equity and inclusion. There will also be opportunities for students to connect with new classmates and build community with one another.

Gateways Fall Orientation includes many College traditions to formally welcome new first-year students to Holy Cross and begin the academic journey, including move-in day, Mass of the Holy Spirit, First-Year Convocation, and the President’s Banquet.
