Being an MPE we hold weekly meetings, conferences, and activities where we speak about the "isms" that affect society today, for example: sexism, racism, etc. We speak about social justice issues and how they affect us and society today. I feel that most of us need to learn and grow in all areas of diversity and social justice. The more one can learn about social justice and how it affects us all, the better capable we are to teach others about social justice. The main factor is awareness. Starting with awareness we can help others understand what is going on in today’s society and what we can do to help improve it.
